All that work and you’re wondering where your SEO fits in?

You know SEO is mega important when it comes to people finding you. You know you need to do things to get higher Google and Yahoo rankings. But maybe you just aren’t exactly sure what those things might be.

First piece of advice: Keep it interesting! Don’t use your words to bore the crap out of potential customers. Use your words to inspire and delight, all while getting what you want from someone reading your website copy.

If you promise to keep your website copy interesting (we can help you with that, by the way), then you may continue reading our SEO checklist.

1. Every page on your website needs a site title and a unique description using keywords from your research.

2. Every photo needs a title.

3. Add your location everywhere.

4. Your URL slugs gotta match the content on each page.

5. You need a blog. Seriously, this is the only way your content will be fresh enough to keep search engine indexing interested enough in your website content. This helps your SEO so much, we can’t stress it enough. And if you’re iffy on the whole blog writing thing, we can help you with that as well.

6. Social media! Now, you know that we love social media. Social media treats our clients well and it will also treat your SEO nicely. You can connect your feeds to your website so your content is fresh and the SEO gods are keeping your website above the fold on page one.

This list is a solid place to start with your SEO optimization. It doesn’t matter if your site is about to launch or in it’s 5th year, there’s never a bad time to optimize.
